MisterJingles Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I am trying to extend the length of a block. What I did was added to the end of it using what looked to be the same linetype in model space and in layout but when I printed it to pdf the line thickness is way thinner than that of the block. Can I stretch the block some other way thus not changing any line settings? I hope that made sense. Quote
feargt Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 did you actually edit the block itself or just add a line in modespace to the block?? If you made changes to the block itself you can use the match properties command in block editor so that your new line has the same properties as the existing lines in the block. Quote
ReMark Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I'm not sure I understand how you extended the length of the block by adding onto it in model space and in the layout. It sounds like you did not edit the block itself. Right? What layer is the block on? What layer is the extension of the block on? What are the line thicknesses set to for each of those layers? Quote
MisterJingles Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 Ok I used the line command to add onto the block to make it longer. What I meant was that when viewed in modelspace and in layout the new lines looked the same as the block lines but in pdf they were different. What I did was delete the blocks (there were 2) and I quickly redrew them using regular lines. In future would I need to determine what layer the block is on, find out its line properties and then add to it as I did or is there a way to manipulate it and stretch it? Quote
