i have this screen inserted into mixing table and i can't align it correctly with plane surface...how can i do it? (i'm lost with rotating here)

(one of idea is to draw a base (stand) to this screen but i would like to skip that)

thank you!

ok mate!...Did you see this tutorial? ..http://www.dailyautocad.com/2007/12/using-align-command-in-3d.html

How do you manage to get these objects so out of whack in the first place? It seems like your method of construction is in need of review. A little pre-planning would save you a lot of time and effort down the road.

ok, thank you!

that was easy but other thing that i expected from cad is that if i would like to align one surface with another surface ac would like align it in the "middle" that is barycenter of both surfaces...but on the other hand probably i need more practise.

The magenta screen(?) appears to have four sides no two of which are equal. Was that done on purpose? Is it really supposed to be a rectangle?

This screen is not flat either. Why don't you draw it over and this time place it parallel to the face of the brown and blue box.

What are the correct dimensions for the screen?

probably (i'm fresh in 3d modeling)!

but this drafting in colaboration with carpenter, locksmith and investor...and after altering everything for 10 times i have this situation.

Could you please tell us what the dimensions of the magenta object are supposed to be?

Do you know how to orient your UCS relative to an existing object?

If objects must be set at an angle and you are new to 3D modelling why not do yourself a favor and draw everything either horizontally or vertically and when finished rotate the object(s) into position?

thing is that magenta color shoud be a wood plate and carpenters job to cover gaps all over the screen (dimensions of screen: WxHxD = 433x379x64)

this is like mixing table (for radio station) with 2 screens (monitors) that are stand-up on this orange plate and are rotated.

carpenter has to close them allaround so it would not have any gaps (magenta surface).

i'm familiar with ucs but have no practise to use them.

Wouldn't those dimensions make the wood plate the same size as the brown object? You don't want it bigger?

Please do yourself and the rest of us a favor and set up separate layers for each object and assign each a specific color. Make the layer names pertinent also. Examples would be layer names such as cover, louvre, screen, etc.

ok, monitors are white. yellow is wood plate (thickness of wood should be 18mm) that should follow the cyan lines. monitor should be closed all around with this yellow wood plates.

if you render it you will get the picture.

i'm sorry that i can't descibe it more precise

Set up your layers with specific colors and stop overriding the assigned color. If I see in Layer Manager that layer ABC is color blue then I expect to find that everything that is blue is on layer ABC. Do you follow? Too many of your layers are designated as being color white but I look at the drawing and nothing is white. That just confuses matters for no reason at all. You know what you are looking at and dealing with. Another CAD user does not have the benefit of your knowledge. He/she needs to try and make sense of the drawing to be able to understand it and your methods are not helping. Understand?

While your monitors are rectangular the wood plates (yellow) are not. How did you expect to "center" the monitor in the plates? I think you have a design flaw here.

first of all i'm very sorry for the mess! next time i'll organize drawing as it should be.

second, probably this is design flaw but this has to look like this (investors wish).

what i was trying to accomplish is this:

A design flaw at this stage of the process is correctable. What you and the investors don't want is a design flaw that messes up production. Then it is really going to cost. you.

I can see a couple of areas where this design is going to have problems. But hey, it's your job to make it work so good luck. Have fun with it.
