ReMark
Without access to the Excel file I can't tell you what the problem might be. I have used the DATALINK and DATALINKUPDATE commands about a dozen times and have never had a problem with updating in either direction. Did you test this in a new drawing to see if it works? Faouweb
Did you test this in a new drawing to see if it works? I'm trying now a new drawing and a new Excel file. I'll let you know

ReMark
Your test Excel file update in both directions for me. Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update?
Murph_map
Your test Excel file update in both directions for me. Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update? Not in the video he didn't. Aslo most times I have to close out the Excell file and reopen it to see the changes. (that's with Map3D)
ReMark
I did not have to close out then reopen the Excel file. After I changed it I did save it before running DATALINKUPDATE.
Murph_map
I did not have to close out then reopen the Excel file. After I changed it I did save it before running DATALINKUPDATE. That's why I add the "that's with Map3D" to the end Map CAN use another method to link to the excel files.
Faouweb
Did you save your test drawing before attempting a datalink update? yes I do. Look this picture maybe there is some thing wrong the path. Thank you for your patience:) and I'm sorry about all this questions
Murph_map
I did not see the save or a Qsave command in the video, and yes the path may be the problem if the folder "TEST" is not in the support / project paths in your options you may need to use the Full Path.
