snakajack Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi, I'm a beginner using 3ds max. I am trying to animate a spring with different sized spheres falling out of it cas the spring is stretched. I have been able to create the spring, but can't seem to place spheres inside the spring and animate them falling. Is there anyone who can help me out please. Thanks:) Quote
Cad64 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 You posted this exact same question in the Inventor forum. Are you trying to do this in Max or Inventor? Quote

Cad64 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I don't do much animation, but you should probably look for some tutorials on the use of Reactor. Here's one: http://www.tutcity.com/view/colliding-objects-using-reactor-in-3d-studio-max.12096.html Quote
snakajack Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 Hi, Thanks for this, one problem I have however, is placing the spheres insidie the spring. Would you possibliy know how I can do this? Quote
Cad64 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Just create a sphere and then move it inside the spring. Then just make a few copies of it. How much experience do you have with Max? Maybe you need to run through some tutorials to learn the basics of the program before trying to dive into animation.
