Hi,

I'm a beginner using 3ds max. I am trying to animate a spring with different sized spheres falling out of it cas the spring is stretched. I have been able to create the spring, but can't seem to place spheres inside the spring and animate them falling. Is there anyone who can help me out please.

Thanks:)

You posted this exact same question in the Inventor forum. Are you trying to do this in Max or Inventor?

I have tried it on inventor but was only able to animate the spring stretching, so I tried using max but I'm unsure what to do. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for this, one problem I have however, is placing the spheres insidie the spring. Would you possibliy know how I can do this?

Just create a sphere and then move it inside the spring. Then just make a few copies of it.

How much experience do you have with Max? :?

Maybe you need to run through some tutorials to learn the basics of the program before trying to dive into animation. Check the sites in this thread for hundreds of free tutorials: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29434
