  1. I have an issue with my AutoCAD 2010. If I zoom in on a line and select it, the grip for the line stays where it should, but the end of the line move away from it's original location. If I dont have the line selected, I can zoom in to the same distance and closer and the lines do not move. However, as soon as I select it, it moves? As this is a bit difficult to explain, I took a video on my phone and uploaded it to you-tube; LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyYh8Hk04Eg (Apologies for the quality, I lack a video card or video editing software) You can see the line however, every time the line seems to move position, all I have done is scroll in or out using the mouse wheel. At one point you see that I do use the grip to move it, however, the location I move the grip to, is not represented by the position of the line. Anyone had any experience with this issue? And if so, can anyone tell me if or how they solved it? My computer details can be found on the left (it's the home system this issue is reffering to, NOT my work system) Thanks everyone!
  2. I am using Autocad 11. I am working on some 12 year old drawings for a railroad museum. They are a mess. They look like they were done be an old pencil guy. Lots of views all over the drawing space rather than using layers to his advantage. I am watching all the tutorials that i can find. There are Blocks on wrong layers. I want to move a group of lines (part of the stuff on one layer) onto a new layer that i have created. Is it as simple as cut and paste? How do I prevent them moving during the process? I tried making their layer current, then selecting the items, then cutting the items. Then i made the new layer that I wanted them on Current, then pasted them. I has to very carefully line them back up, and they are still on the original layer. What am i Missing? Besides half my brain.
  3. I suspect I'm not going to give adequate information so please feel free to ask for more. 1. I have an existing Autocad LT installation 2010 2. It's on a failing xp workstation 3. I'd like to move the floating license to a more stable box 4. We don't have an active subscription 5. I have no idea how to do this. ((per #4)) so some hints would be most appreciated.
