  1. Hey Everyone, I am very new to 3D Max. I am creating a condo suite and I have imported some kitchen maid stainless steel appliances. The fridge is rendering great but the Stove and hook just look black. I cant seem to get the lighting on it right to make it look like stainless steel. When i imported the stove and left the daylight system that it came with it lights up the whole room so that doesnt work. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!!

    shadow map is turned on...why does it do these black lines on the top of the screen?? shadow map off...
  3. Hi all, I'm trying to learn how to use lighting in AutoCAD but when i place the light in my drawing i can't see it. I have made sure the light is on and the default lighting is turned off but still i can't see it. I tried to render it presentation style but still nothing. Can anyone help me out? Attached is a screenshot of what i am trying to do.

    Autocad Lighting

    when i setup my lighting for models i create, i have to always play with the settings until i am satisfied, the settings range from Cd/candelas, to Foot Candles, never really the same between models any recommended settings for lighting i already know about final gather, Global illumination, etc, i just need tips for the lighting Units.
