lulumara
Hi Matt thanks for all the helped you advised me, it's really helped me finished it. To cut the triangle I did drawn a 3 lines in front , side of the lug and top (use project curve ) then used fill surface command, trim surface or cut thicken any of the two commands. Many thanks again I just posted it so anyone who who encounter this problem can see the solution .

shift1313
very nice. This morning i took some screen shots of the swept surface/cut with surface procedure although it appears to be too late:) The first image shows the surface going through the part. First thing i did was create the straight line on a plane created away from the part(edit, i could have created a 2d sketch on the surface of the part as well). Second I created a 3d sketch spline which can be seen in pic 5 where i go back to edit it. Picture 2 shows the cut with surface operation. Notice the arrow i circled. This is the direction of the base solid that will be removed. Once the cut was made, i went back to my sketches and edited them to get more "cut". Once you exit the sketch the surface and cut should update automatically.
lulumara
Great another suggestions I did drawn it infront or plane -face of lugs then top view used curve /project curve to the face of lugs and drawn in side of the lug used the fill surface and trim surface or cut thicken . Many thanks Matt !!
