MisterJingles
Yes mostly 2D work. But given the size and complexity of certain site plans I work on I dont want to cut any corners
ReMark
Sounds like a good choice. Which manufacturer? Core speed - 600MHz 512MB GDDR3 256-bit DirectX 10 OpenGL 2.
MisterJingles
Not sure about manufacturer yet. Ill listen to recommendations. Or perhaps just see whats available here and go for a good name. I think you get a 1GB 9800. Ill go for that

MisterJingles
If I could ask you to look here http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=74_224 and give your thoughts on the cards offered there around the R1000 - R1200 mark? 3 main brands on offer there are MSI, Leadtek and Gigabyte. The site comes recommended by a friend who has dealt with them.
MisterJingles
Ok an update. I got myself an Asus EN9800GT 1GB and while it has helped to a certain degree, it hasnt made movement between layouts etc that much less painful. The time delay I spoke of has been reduced approximately 25%. I guess Ill have to chalk it down to the size of the drawing (14mb). Thanks for all the help.
