nick bessey Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Hi guys, I am in an identical position. My company has just rolled out XP SP3 and as a result of the desktop remote rebuild my tablet is dead. The last driver version I had working was 7.46.0619 (on Tues Mar 9th) and think it was the change from NT to XP that caused me to need that version in the first place (I seem to recall it was old at the time and not available thru calcomps website) I also think it came via an email from a very helpful guy in the Netherlands. Unfortunately pc changes and rebuilds have meant that my saved copy is lost. Any chance of helping? I think any version 7.xx would do. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 TWSER2KXP.exe will work under Win2k and WinXP. It should be on your old Tabletworks CD. If you don't have it, PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy. Quote
nick bessey Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 If PM means personal mail then I am afraid I cannot find/do not know how to find your email address. I do not have the original CD as this has also long gone to our software library in the sky and would have had the original windows 3.11 driver anyway. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Try clicking on my screen name. Is there an option to send a PM via CADTutor or don't you qualify yet being a newbie and all? Quote
Cad64 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Nick, you only have 6 posts. You can't access the PM system until you have 10 posts. This rule is in place to keep spammers from sending us junk via PM, which is something that's currently happening on another forum I belong to. Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 You could post your email address here but don't do it in a way it can be harvested by bots. Example: Wrong: MichaelMouthworthy@aol.com Right: M i c h a e l M o u t h w o r t h y AT a o l DOT c o m Are we clear? Quote
nick bessey Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 yes thanks for that ReMark, a friend also suggested that I replaace the ampersand with the word at. eg. m i c h a e l a t i s p p r o v i d e r . c o m Nick Quote
nick bessey Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Thanks for the guidance, CAD64, on the minimum number of post required. Quote
Cad64 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Please don't post, just to increase your count. You've already posted your address for ReMark, so let's just leave it at that. Quote
nick bessey Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 ok ReMark I'll try it as my cunning plan didn't work... Quote
ReMark Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 It's not wise to shake the mountain the Gods sleep on. LOL I'll see what I can do Nick. Give me a moment. An email has been sent. Warning: It happens to be a .exe file. It may not get through. I promise there is nothing sinister about the file. No viruses, malware or head lice. LOL Quote
nick bessey Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 File received, many thanks Mark. Now let's draw.... Quote
ReMark Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Glad to hear you got the file Nick. I hope it helps solve your problem. Quote
brewmaster20 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I know this has been inactive for quite some time but I'm an IT admin and I've got a user who took his personal tablet to work as an engineer, he does not have the driver for it but would like to use his tablet in autocad. I've been told the only way to make it work is to buy vtablet. I've also been told if I use tablet works 7.4x.xx it will work as long as I dont use windows vista or newer. he will be using windows xp but does not have the driver off his other computer. is there a way to still get a copy of tabletworks 7.4x Please let me know. if you have a zip or a ftp server I am more than happy to download it. ReMark Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I'm pretty sure I have a version of Tabletworks at my workplace. Unfortunately I am telecommuting today and do not have access to it. PM me with your email address. Upon returning to work on Monday I'll see if I can find it and get it to you. That is the best I can do at the moment unless I stumble across it on one of my old flash drives. Quote
brewmaster20 Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 ReMark Thank you for the quick response I am a newbe so I cannot pm you but here is my e-mail address: a a r o n a v c r c at g m a i l . c o m the end user will be very greatful since he is in love with his 16 button puck. There is no rush I am also away from the office today. Quote
ReMark Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I'll make a mental note to check this thread on Monday. Quote
