I wonder if he means load them in AutoCAD?

no... the zip file is about 1MB, but this forum is support 250kb for uploading

Why are you trying to upload them here? As a donation? Perhap Zip up a few in multiple posts?

Aryanarch, I would suggest that you do not upload all 500 lisps.

First, like you've noticed yourself, there is a max size for uploads.

Second, if you upload 500 lisps in one batch, I doubt that many people will browse through all to find what they want.

I know that some of the more prolific lisp-writers *cough*Lee*cough* have threads for their Lisps, so perhaps create a thread of your own, and publish the pearls of your Lisp-collection there.

How about just posting a few "samples"? Maybe your best 5?

And what then with this archive to do?

Personally at me patience will not suffice all them to see and check up: "And that they there do".

Likely it is necessary to create in section Program Archive 500 threads that on each code, with the description, with pictures, with examples. If most it is terrible, 20 programs have come to me, 20 programs to Lee, 20 still to any volunteers , all can for couple of months we will issue, if certainly programs standing

And could we get an explanation on what they do? And which is which?

I still recommend that you start a brand new thread, paste your codes, one in each post and with a clear explanation on what they do.

Maybe if I had nothing to do all day but review Lisp files I'd be OK with it but wading through 12 zip files (how many routines in each?) is not something I'm going to do. Thanks anyway.

so wait, this forum is your backup? Get a external harddrive mate, or burn a CD or something. While there have been few severe outages here, this is not a secure place in that way!

Can I upload ALL my drawing files to CADTutor too? LOL

aryanarch,

Are you sure it is legal to post AutoDesk LISPs?

Posted

aryanarch-

with all due respect, I believe the intent of this forum is educational (hence the name CadTutor), not a clearinghouse for code. Also, did you write the code that you posted? The few zip files I viewed had no credit to the author. I would suggest that you keep your code and post your routines when someone has a specific request that you can help with.

Aryanarch, I have removed your attachments - again I suggest that if you have specific lisps that you feel will benefit this community, post them as text with an explanation.

And please remember that is is considerd good customs to credit the original author of the lisp.
