alanjt Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 I have to say, that sounds like much more fun than fighting AutoCAD and ArcGIS... Maybe if I had a foam sword AutoCAD would respect me a little more? Psh, clearly you didn't read the disclaimer close enough. I kick off every caDay by flashing my sword to AutoCAD. Cooperates like a dream after that. Quote

LOL I am going to bring my son's foam sword to work with me now. Beware AutoCad! After re-reading the thread I have to say that it is quite comical. The Three Stooges would be proud of the dialog. Maybe even inspired. So, pdsewell did you get your polyline solution figured out? BTW: I do ArcGIS work as well which is one reason this intrigues me. I doubt I ever have a situation like yours but who knows, something similar may come my way. Quote

Phil-Bert Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 So, to join the lines into polylines I run pedit, choose all of them, and choose join. I believe another fix for your problem would be not to choose all of the lines. Only choose the lines at the same elevations that are connected. You may have to run pedit a couple times for this to work. Bert Quote
