dbroada Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 should do - at least it does here can you post the block Quote
alanjt Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 was that around in 2006? Nope, came out in '08, but he states 2009LT. Quote
lpseifert Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Maybe Attsync will work... not sure if it's a command in LT Quote

Glenn USA 2009LT Find out what the text style for the attribute is, then go to edit that text style, is there a default height given? If there is then change it to 0.0. Try scaling the block again and it should work correctly. Quote
H'Angus Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Actually forget that, it should scale regardless. Quote
gsksun4 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 should do - at least it does here can you post the block I'll try: TEST BLOCK.dwg The triangle will scale down in the drawing, but not the text. In the block editor, the text shows it scaling down, but not in the drawing. I even did a save in the block editor. Quote
alanjt Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Scales fine in C3D '09. Check your Service Pack updates. Quote
dbroada Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I see. Do you mean the text will not scale in the editor or the text in existing blocks will not scale? If the former, its OK here. If the latter then see post #7 - IF LT has attsync. Quote

Just to confirm though, if you insert a new instance of the block it should be correct. At which point, I don't know what you can do. Before ATTSYNC existed I wrote a LISP routine that remembered where all my blocks were, deleted them and purged the drawing before bringing in a complete new set to the original co-ordinates. This is of course no help to you as LT doesn't have ATTSYNC, BATTMAN or LISP. Sorry. Quote

Then copy the contents of the drawing with the old blocks into the new drawing containing the newly defined block? Would the old ones then update to the new one? Quote

Inserting new scaled down, means inserting several hundred in a drawing. LT has it's limitations. Just for the record, inserting the block again in the same drawing did have the text scaled down, but again, I'd have to reinsert all new blocks with new attributes. Quote

You can redefine the geometry but the attributes don't get updated. Quote

Can you just select all your blocks and apply the new scale to them through the properties palette? That is what i usually do. Quote
