Ryder76 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Not sure what the issue is, but I'm not having any problem changing the size of the text in the Block Attribute Manager and then SYNC up the blocks. They all change accordingly. Running 2007 Full ps - there is no annotative function selected in the block. Quote
gsksun4 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 that's what I expected. Can you just select all your blocks and apply the new scale to them through the properties palette? That is what i usually do. I opened up the prop mgr and selected a few blocks, changed the annotative scale to 1:2 and it read no selection. I X out and nothing is changed. I see no other scale in the Prop mgr other than ltscale. OK, different approach. I select several blocks, bring up prop mgr and change scale in x,y,z to 50, which is half of the existing block. Some worked, but some flipped over at the insertion point like a mirror image. Quote

gsksun4 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 oops sorry:oops: That's OK. I appreciate the input. LT seems to be the root of many problems. I don't run into this particular problem often though with having to scale down multiple blocks. Issue here is there's about a hundred blocks of maybe 6 or 8 different types in the drawing. Quote
Ryder76 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Do you have the command 'BLOCKREPLACE' ? If you do you can create a new block sized the way you want with a different name and then BLOCKREPLACE the old one with the new one... Quote

Besides, the attributes are different in all the blocks. They're telecommunications cable drops. The attribute fields are all different cable numbers. Quote
Ryder76 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 dang it! Do you know someone with FULL ACAD that would be willing to fix this drawing and send it back to you? Quote
gsksun4 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 dang it! Do you know someone with FULL ACAD that would be willing to fix this drawing and send it back to you? The task would be monumental. There's about 35 drawings with about 1500 blocks total. It's a ten story hospital. It might not even be necessary, I'm testing in case the worst happens. The result of a PM not reading the spec. Also keeping my fingers crossed. Quote
H'Angus Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 But selecting all the blocks of a particular type and changing the xyz scale values in properties works doesnt it? Quote
gsksun4 Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 But selecting all the blocks of a particular type and changing the xyz scale values in properties works doesnt it? Reread post 22. I just tried two of the same block and set the x,y,z to 50, meaning half. I did scale it down, but it mirrored the two blocks. It's a curse. Quote
