ReMark Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Patricia39: Welcome to the CADTutor forum. The original thread and subsequent posts would indicate to me the discussion has run its course. I doubt very much if the person responsible for the thread is going to return and answer your question. Nice try though. Quote
qball Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I like that threads like this usually go very quickly into criticizing the school and teacher. It's like that saying "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach". Quote
ReMark Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I cannot recall the last time someone said they had a good teacher but because they never paid attention in class, or skipped a few, that's why they were seeking help here. LOL To be fair there are two types of teachers I cannot stand: 1) The ones who read directly from the book THEY wrote instead of preparing an actual lecture and 2) The ones who are so full of themselves they make you want to get up and do their face some serious bodily injury. qball Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Maybe one day I'll go to an Autocad convention and see if I learn anything. But I'm not going on my own time and this company won't pay for it. I imagine it's just a lot of drinking and complaining about other consultants, right? Quote
ReMark Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I'd kill to go to AutoDesk University. I'd like to be able to sit in on classes that were specific to my needs and learn from some of the smartest people in the industry. And the opportunity to network with my peers from all over the country would be a real bonus. Quote
cadvision Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Don't give the teacher a F if the student doesn't get his work done in time. Sorry guys if you keep giving students the answers then they won't learn and the next thing is they are "working" in your office and you are posting threads anbout slack co-workers that never get their work done & don't know the basics. ReMark Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I think many of us strive to give students enough information to answer their questions without actually giving them the answer. Quote
