dude Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 I thought for sure the shape was an ellipse. Now that we know it is not, I need to analyze the areas over a given range and see if I can come up with an equation that will adjust for this over a large size of ID/OD and cores. Thank you once again for helping me continue down my personal research project. Paul, that is a crazy routine you have. Would it work in auto cad for Mac? Being able to accurately model the actual shape in 2D is very impressive. Your the first to lay this out in 2D. Quote
paulmcz Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I am not sure about the lisp and acad LT for Mac. The lisp functionality is disabled in the LT for Windows. You can try the attached cone development routine and you'll know right away. I never had a chance to work with LT. Does "area" command work in it? quick-cone-cnn.lsp Quote
dude Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Paul, I can get the area and perimeter of any 2D object I draw. Is that what you mean? Note, I am using AutoCAD LT for Windows through VMWare. AutoCAD for Mac is 3D enabled although light on some functionality. I have not purchased it yet but am seriously thinking about it. Quote
