What's Missing In Autocad

Bad spelling is my greatest downfall. I haven't figured out the spell checker download for checking my forum posts. I deeply apoligise for my atrosious spelling (No idea how many incorrectly spelt words I've added so far)

I hope people will forgive me.

Underlined incorrections sounds good in 09, which my boss has just bought and I hope to get stuck ito next week.

Can predicatable text recognise common phrases, because there is a handful I use all the time. Like if I start to type TILE, 99% of the time it is followed by ROOF.

Perhaps Autodesks standard dictionarys could include engineering & construction terminology dictionarys, complete with common or standard abreviations.

I spend lot of time typing, and would still love my sentences finished.

What's realy missing in autocad is an option to add additional information to objects so that when you move your mouse over it it gives you that information you added yourself, just like in autocad 2009 with all the toolpallets and quickproperties.

I allso appolegise for the spelling, English isn't my first language,

1st comes Turkish

2de Dutch

3de English

4th French

5th comes a litle bit deutsch

1 means very good 5 means the badest spelling

Try to add a hyperlink to your objects (CTRL+K). Enter the text to display and no URL address -just a space. The text will show when you move the mouse over that object. It works in AutoCAD 2006 and probable in the newer editions too.

How about a longer installation time. I mean, I still have a few hours left in the day to waste (heavy emphasis on the sarcasm here since it took over two hours to install the trail copy of Inventor last night).

hahaha. I noticed that with Revit as well.

I would LOVE to see a roof object, and slab object overhaul in ACA

I have 2009 and I don't see it. I could be missing it though.

I'm almost certain its possible, i'll check that when i get home!

In the new RIBBON when you go to layer, there should be a bar after you select a layer to make that layer transparent, maybe only when its locked??

Let me know!

Yes, that "Locked Layer Fading" not transparency. That's a cool feature though and I like it too.

No, I want to be able to take an object and give it a transparent hatch (fill). Looks great in elevations and plans.

Here's another one:

STOP TREATING THE WORD "SCALE" LIKE A BULLET!!!! I'm getting really tired of typing the word SCALE in a block of MTEXT, only to go back and have to edit the MTEXT and have that word turn into a bullet point. When this happens, and I hit enter the next line starts with SCALF and then SCALG and so forth. It gets really irritating since I'm constantly turning bullets on and off as I need them and no matter how many times I manually change it back it keeps happening unless I completely disable the bullet option.
