How to install a font in Windows Vista.

I don't see any reason to change the operating system from Vista to Win7 just to solve a problem with a font.

Just looked in the AutoCAD 2012 fonts folder and there are no TTF fonts, just SHX fonts. Exactly like I thought it would be.

Strange but true.

So I find a laptop with Windows Vista Business on it and open the Windows font folder. There are only two versions of Lucida. They are Lucida Console and Lucida Sans Unicode. The funny part is under the heading for Font Style they are both listed as "OpenType" (OTF) and not Regular which is the Font Type listed for Windows 7.

OTF fonts are not exactly the same as TTF fonts they descend from.
