PotGuy Posted February 13, 2014 Share Posted February 13, 2014 It sounds like if you're doing a fairly large amount of rendering and whatnot, you'll need more than 4gb of RAM. 16gb will give you a good turnover in speed and performance, which will increase your productivity. It will inherently reduce the lag you may experience while working, and may resolve your current issue of experiencing slow down when inserting artificial lighting. I'm sure a more experienced user here will debunk some of what I have said, although I do think upgrading your RAM would be a good idea. FTR, if you think $4,900(?) is expensive, then you should see some of the higher end analysis processors work uses for our geotechnic department. A decent processor costs £20,000!!
