BIGAL Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 DANA W bearings backwards an answer you have to work anticlockwise in radians look at what quadrant your in and then change to correct brg orientation. Quote
eldon Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I still have not figured out how to tell vanilla AutoCad I want to go clockwise. When I do it makes ALL my bearings backwards. It is very simple. Enter the bearings with a negative sign Quote
Dana W Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Bigal & Eldon. Nahhh, it has to do it like a surveyor expects it to be done, with no extra input. I got it to do the bearings properly when I draw clockwise, but for the life of me, I don't know how I did it. I went in and played around with the clockwise/anti-clockwise switch, and the compass direction messing about with where the base angle starts. I tried each base angle, at both clock directions to no avail. Then I put it back how I found it, had a beer, and danged if it didn't start doing it like I wanted it to. Beats me. Now if only it were not LT so I could get the bearings out on the line as a label, instead of copying them from the properties sheet. Quote
BIGAL Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 (edited) Need a dim style Dist / brg Autocad suggestion 2014 Dim aligned no arrows etc then properties cut and paste to text at least correct angle text. Edited October 12, 2012 by BIGAL spelling Quote
