I Dont find a solution to the problem , autocad is stuck crashes and takes way too much time while working in 3d .And im not designing big or complex models . every mesh creation , every section generation , each rotation or manipulation of simple 3d solids.

i dont know if its a hardware or software problem .

working on windows 7 64bit, autocad 2013 (MAP, but also tried in plain autocad)

my hardware:

i7-3770

Firepro V5900

8GB ram

hardware acceleration ON, I HAVE THE LATEST DRIVER FORM AUTODESK TO MY GRAPHIC CARD. format the system , reinstalled autocad , no matter what i do, things are so slow its frustrating working like that. :reallymad::reallymad:

when i look at performance in "windows task manager" i see during the problems i use 24% of the CPU and 3.8gb of my RAM memory.

is it solvable?

Thanks

What visual style are you using as you model?

The fastest visual style you could use would be 2D Wireframe.

You may want to, if you have not already, configure and activate your adaptive degradation.

You can do that on the SYSTEM tab in OPTIONS, as shown in the image.

It sounds like you have already done a manual tune, as shown on the right in the image?

The InfoCenter is another name for it. Brings you info re: latest updates, hot fixes, and alike.

What else have you done to troubleshoot the problem?

i checked my hardware , seems o.k.

Crashing in both 2D and 3D sounds pretty serious. Is this a new install?

Posted

yes its a new one. after couple of installation before. also the i did format to the PC with a fresh installation of windows 7.

So if I understand you correctly you installed/uninstalled then reinstalled AutoCAD. I might have suggest first doing a Repair.

I also would have recommended that you temporarily disable the UAC and your anti-virus program.

Did you know that there is a specific procedure that AutoDesk recommends for uninstalling AutoCAD in preparation for a clean install?

tried all the above with an assistance of autocad reseller center , nothing changed.

You're saying it is not the program it's the hardware?

Maybe. I see.

What error messages are you seeing?

Is AutoCAD current with all service packs?

Just for chuckles did you try turning hardware acceleration OFF?
