Convert Surface To Solid in AutoCAD 2002, Is It Possible?

.... use the THICKEN command to convert a surface to a solid.

 

Maybe the reason why my original solution was rejected is because the OP isn't aware of the solidedit shell command?

I don't recall any problem description parameter of wall thickness by the OP.

More information is needed on the design intent.

Well I wouldn't suggest that anyone using this method specify a distance of a foot, meter, mile, or light year. Could use something so small (0.00001) that it would be barely noticeable.
