SLW210
You can try Regapp ID Cleanup Utility for AutoCAD 2013/2014 works with DwgTrueView 2013/2014.
resullins
Will it work with 2012? I saw that, and they have one for 2008/2009, but not for 2012.
SLW210
NO, but it will work on all files by using DWG TrueView 2013/2014, just add to the DWG TrueView folder instead of the AutoCAD folder. I installed to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2013 Works fine here.

Even though they're now only a couple hundred KB. Why would they take that long?

SLW210
Probably Xrefs or just simply what ever may need them is still in the drawing.
resullins
Yeah, you've got something in there that's bringing them back in when it loads. I would check X-Refs first... apparently that was my culprit in most of my drawings. So go run the same command in the xref files.
mrose
Cleared all xrefs also but still everything comes back its really strange
PotGuy
Maybe bind the XREF? It may be that you'll need to look through the source code perhaps in notebook and go through it that way?
