Try setting your PDMODE = 0 then save as dxf (rename it as you do) Also in the software make sure you display only the waypoints (?) I don't have Pocket GIS but other apps have waypoints and routes.

How do I set my PDMODE=0. Pocket doesn't have waypoints or routes.

Posted

Type in PDMODE and hit enter, then 0 enter. It maybe the route is on a layer by itself in Pocket GIS.

Having given the posted DXF another glance, there are several anomalies that might/might not be significant.

There are no AutoCAD points in the drawing.

Most of the drawing has a z value of zero, but the lines that do have a z value are some 99.245 units higher that the written z value.

The Tree, Water, Lamp Post and BT circles have a z value, so perhaps your drawing translator is stringing everything that has a z value greater than zero.

In the attached picture, I have turned everything with a z value of zero to a red colour.

I am afraid you have lost me with the "Z value" I don't know what that is. I am assuming that 2d drawings are usually drawn with x y values with a z value of zero (z being the third dimension).

Could setting all the z values to zero solve the issue?

Tried the PDMODE thing. Unfortunately it made no difference.

Could setting all the z values to zero solve the issue?

It is a simple thing to try, but try it on a copy

Already tried that. Selectall copy and paste to new dwg then saved as a r12/dxf and transferred to handheld. No dice.

Would it be more accurate to say that lines are appearing on your Ipaq, but not when you are looking at the drawing in AutoCAD?

Without knowing the precise working details of all your technology, it would be likely that the fault (?) does not lie in AutoCAD.
