I have a drawing that is a rectangle shaped object, with another rectangle object on top of it, then some other objects connecting it to a cylindrical object (to put it simply).

I want to shorten the rectangle object, but how do I do this so all the objects on top of it come down by the same amount of length I take out of the rectangle?

I know this is probably simple, but I only really know a few commands on AutoCad... I don't even know how to move a group of objects down by the same amount, or how to shorten a rectangle! Might need to answer this Q in step-by-step format :P

Thanks in advance.
