    section problem

Hi, I'm very new to sketchup so don't know what I have done that is causing the problem, so struggling to find how to cure it! I have drawn a building (sketchup 14) and its almost finished (far from perfect but good enough for its purpose). However, when I scroll in I have a section plane or something similar that cuts through the view when I get close. From far out its fine, but when I get in close, I see the insides of the building. As far as I'm aware I haven't placed a section plane on the drawing so don't know how to find the problem and remove it. Any ideas out there? Cheers.
  2. Hi. I want to create sections in a solid. These sections pass through planes xy which are incremented by a value to set (Z = 0.05 ... ), and the beginning and the end of the planes must be set too ( Z = 0 to Z = 123 ...). Regions generated would be converted to polylines (open at one end (N, S, E , W) ) shifted inward or outward 1x by an indicated value ( Offset = 3 ...). Each section as well created would be converted into block *.dxf appointed by the drawing name - value of the plan Z. This macro serve to generate a G-code (clean) almost directly usable by a CNC control software (with a post traitment with ACE converter). The interest to create different "block" is to have the choice to enter different block of programmation in the CNC software. Merci pour tout éventuel renseignement.
  3. Hello, I would like to share this with you, it is was my first silent tutorial on AutoCAD 3D modeling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjMzgSUL0cI It was recorded on 06 July 2009. It is better to watch in 1080p HD full screen. You can see how I use the commands FLATSHOT and SECTION PLANE to create a working drawing from 3D solids. Have fun!
  4. Is there a way, when sectioning model consisting of several solids, to output them with various hatches as intersection fill. I'm currently using the section plane (under the solids ribbon), but all solids end out with the same hatch. Only customizing option i can find is color byLayer.. Is there a way to link the hatch pattern to fx. layer? So that an object on one layer comes out with, say, solid hatch, while another on another layer comes out with another hatch pattern? It is fairly simple modeling, so it would overcomplicate the project, i think, to go towards aec-objects. our projects normaly consists of a concrete floor, though fairly complex in geometry, and various ground-fill layers underneath. Any suggestions? In advance
