  1. Hi Guys, I was asked to create an as built floor plan for a client..they sent me a pdf but it seems that the file is scanned causing the actual measurements to change..I'm not really familiar with some standards for doors..making it more difficult for me to construct the floor plan..I was planning to trace it and just override the dimensions but..We will use it to measure the length of cable that will be used for the project..Any thoughts on how to approach this kind of situation? Thank You very much
  2. How can I do tracing in autocad? Suppose, I have two floor plans, ground floor and first floor in a single .dwg file. there are many layers with different colours. ground floor plan and first floor plan are sharing layers too. That is ground floor also has objects in the walls layer so does the first floor plan I want to to like this. I want to make the ground floor grayed out light and on the top of it I want to overlap my first floor plan. The thing is that all the layers of the objects should stay as it is. only the colour of the ground floor plan should get gray. the rest of the layers and the colours There's an option like this in ArchicAD. Is there a workaround in autocad too?
  3. Hello! My dad has given me floor plans in blueprint paper and he wants me to draw / copy them in AutoCAD. I've have learnt here that you should always draw 1:1 in model space and adjust the scale later on in paper space. My problem is that the floor plans are printed in a scale of 1:75 meters. - so how should I draw / copy them (use a ruler? ) - and what units will I use to draw the lines?
