AutoCAD 2014 on Terminal Server w/o CITRIX
trioxy posted a topic in Software & LicensingGreetings, Question is: Is there a way to run more than 2 instances of AutoCAD 2014 on a single Terminal Server (Windows Server 2008 R2 or newer)? And, yes, I know about EULA. I'm talking about workarounds (hacks). I've done it with AutoCAD 2012, but it seems like the method I used not working anymore. I've tried CITRIX XenApp, it does not solve the problem with instances. It's nothing about stealing (pirating). It's for the educational purposes of students in college and the simplicity of administration. They have all their licenses. But, as you know, AutoCAD has only Stand-alone and Network Licenses allowing only 2 instances of AutoCAD on a single Terminal Server. I will be very happy for any answers, advises, points, where I can get information or even about other forums, where I can repost this problem. I'm sorry for my English.
Server not recognizing Ctrl-Alt-Del
CyberAngel posted a topic in Hardware & Operating SystemsIn today's installment of the Insane-a-thon ... This morning I logged on to our Windows Small Business Server to check something. Before I came back to log off (you should always log off from the server), the session timed out. Now there's a window saying "Press Ctrl-Alt-Del. Only an administrator can unlock this computer." So far normal. For some reason the server won't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Del. I've tried two keyboards, both of which work on other systems. I've plugged the USB cable into every possible socket. When the screen saver kicks in, I can clear it by pressing Space. There doesn't seem to be any problem with the keyboard or the connection, but the server won't respond. I can't reboot it because I can't log in. Anyone seen this happen before? Is there anything I can do short of pulling the plug on the server?
Moving a FlexLM Server
jstrowe posted a topic in Software & LicensingI suspect I'm not going to give adequate information so please feel free to ask for more. 1. I have an existing Autocad LT installation 2010 2. It's on a failing xp workstation 3. I'd like to move the floating license to a more stable box 4. We don't have an active subscription 5. I have no idea how to do this. ((per #4)) so some hints would be most appreciated.
