Yes...I get it now. It's a zooming issue, and once I zoom>All, it adjust the scale for that!

Sounds like you are working with a metric drawing and trying to use imperial dimensions.

 

Use -DWGUNITS (include the hyphen) to set the drawing up to one or the other.

The original one is metric in mm's and the OP's created drawing is in inches, betcha.

 

I'd also suggest to the OP that using the word scale in place of 'zoom factor' is gonna get them some strange and confused responses.

I originally thought it was a units thing, too, but thought I was missing something with all this talk about zooming.
