JD,

Each square post should be 8.9 cm. I know that because I have some in my apartment for reference. When i measure the width of the perimeterit is no where near 6.85 meters. I cut and pasted everything into a metric template and then drew a line at 6.85 from the lower left-hand corner and then drew a line up to 11 meters. When I pick the upper right-hand corner and then scale it to the top of the 11 meter line it explodes into the opposite direction.

If I'm doing something wrong by trying to scale it that way, l would appreciate the help.

Steven-g,

I'll try stretching it from the entrance way. It should be 82 cm. If that doesn't work, I'll try using one of the corner posts.

Unfortunately it won't work that way, you can scale it either to a known internal measurement or to the boundary size. From the sound of what you are trying to achive you are going to either scale to a structural size and then stretch the building to the size you want, or scale to the boundary size and redraw the internal parts to the correct size.

EDIT I scaled the post to 89 mm which made the entrance 799 mm

That seems pretty accurate. Unfortunately, my computer at work will not let me install AutoCAD so I will have to wait until I get home later.

Property dimensions are prone to manipulation to (possibly) enhance the value of a site, and should never be used in scaling, unless they are to witness marks.

I just wanted to thank everyone for helping me out. In the end I based the scaling off of the corner post and everything seems to be accurate.
