Hedgehog Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 God knows what the output would be but I bet whatever it is it could not be built by mere mortals. Hmmm... true, whatever I draw with this system eventually starts looking like ahhh ... but the people on site say they've noticed no change & that what comes out of this office has always been like that ooh... itchy. (just back from Oz... they don't have 'puters there) ... anyway... let's get this thread back on track! Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 The difference between Autodesk and Microsoft is that you can make Acad 2009 look like 2000 if you prefer, while with Office 2007(?) you are fucked. Sorry for that word. Quote

Raggi_Thor Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Yeah I've gone back to Office 2003 + Access 2000. In Excel for example, I spent a few weeks trying to find things, but it took too long. I even got a Norwegian version where Ctrl+B means Find because Ctrl+F means Bald ( Fet = Fat). Quote
Raggi_Thor Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 The funny colors came froom Google's toolbar trying to check my spelling! I outsmart myself sometimes. Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 I know what you mean - I tried Office 07, but have now changed back to Office 2003 (best version imo), on the 07, it took me long enough just to find the "print" command - as its hidden in the menu assigned to the office icon (ridiculous!)... dbroada Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 ahhh ctrl-B I learnt word processing on Wordstar. This was DOS so no WYSIWYG but you could highlight your text and ctrl-B to get it to format the text. A few years later I changed companies and they used Wordstar 2000 (it was early 1990!). Still DOS based I typed each section, highlighted it then CTRL-B. To my surprise the document was getting faster despite all this formatting I was doing. It was only after I had printed my one line document that I looked closer and found CTRL-B is now block delete. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you for putting the Bwah! back in my Bwah Ha Ha! Quote
Attila The Gel Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I have used the new Office with ribbon in that and didn't really get on with it too well... - it took me ages to find print! - who would have thought you'd have to click on the office icon in the corner! What happened To ctrl-P??? Quote
Hedgehog Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 What happened To ctrl-P??? I thought it changed on 2009 to allow you to pause & nip to the toilet Quote
Lee Mac Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 What happened To ctrl-P??? Well, yes, I could've used the shortcut... but maybe I just didn't want to Quote
