    I had Vista crash (go figure) and had to do a restore. I am trying to reinstall AutoCAD civil 3D 2009 (discs are bad and Autodesk does not have any copies as the only support the last three years) from a backup from an external harddrive. I click on the setup.exe file and it begins to initialize and then pops with an error " The copy function cannot be used. Failed to copy the following file: SetupRes to C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\… I can see that files have been copied to the folder but not sure why the error message. Can anyone help?

    2014 LT Issues!

    Just discovered 2014LT will not operate under Vista OS. XP -yes, W7-yes, but NOT Vista. That has, shell we say, left me rather annoyed!

    I just installed this free software, which works a lot like AutoCad, with a command line so I don't have to fish for icons and sort through menus. I like it a lot. But it crashes consistently when I click on the screen. For example, if I try to select a zoom window, or if I click on the screen for no reason. I found that it does not crash if I am working in the linear dimensioning command, when I click on the screen. I have Vista, which is going to change soon. I wonder if that's the real problem. People don't seem to have too many complaints about this program.
