CADsince07
Got one of those too - cheers mate i think it can read blu ray too as far as i remember - sorry through the elements together late last night! I like the sound of your response - a little more positive than before lol. But im hoping this will be a good machine that can handle some simple CAD and perhaps as i start to take on more complex stuff i can continue to upgrade it a little. Thanks for all your help
f700es
Well that's what you want. A machine that will grow with you. Not one that is obsolete in a year or so. You'll be fine with this one.
.dwg
Hi there. l have built my self a computer to run 2d and 3d. l use autoCAD 09 and achicad10 without a delay. Most important is you CPU l recommed core 2 duo at 2.5 - 3.0 Ram 2gb will be alright Video card is very important for 3d rendering l prefer 512M 9800GT Gigabyte (its about $170-200$AUD) harddisk 7200rpm is ok
stevsmith
why do you have 2 screens?
f700es
why do you have 2 screens? Going to break forum rules with this image but I need to show "why". 2 screens give you more desktop space to work with.
CADsince07
you recommend a duo and not a quad? Why is that? And also - i dont have two screens (if you're asking me?). I have 1 20" tft screen now. I now have the specs above - 4gb ram, quad core, 320gb hard drive 7200rpm, blu ray/hd dvd +/- rw etc. Hopefully this will be ok! f700es
You might save a few dollars with a duo as to a quad. You really want see a big difference with a quad over a duo unless you do a lot of rendering. That's all but if you can swing it then yes get it. It won't hurt. My screen reply was to Steve above. Same thing there, there are nice but you don't "have" to have them.
