smorales02
Havent had a chance to try kerky yet, though I will. I am in the process of modeling a house and am having my troubles with that. It is coming out somewhat ok, but just learning how to do stuff in a new software is hard. Especially with limited 3D experience. The majority of my ACAD experience is 2D plan and profile type stuff, which I am wanting to get out of. Career change coming I think, If I can find a company willing to let me learn on the job. Any insight on changing from 2D to 3D type stuff??
CADken
Any insight on changing from 2D to 3D type stuff?? Practice, practice, practice... Find things of interest and try to model them, the Fire Apparatus (my avatar) started out just messing with shapes, next thing you know I was able to design complete fire equipment from 2D blueprints. Check out the Sketchucation forms, there are a TON of people there with great insight when it comes to SU... Anyway, just mess around with the program and after a bit things will come to you.
