Dana W
I've had similar sorts of artifacting occur from time to time since a'07. They've always gone away eventually. It's probably a worn spot or scar tissue in the program code.
SLW210
Did you try turning off hardware acceleration? Did you try creating new profiles?
bigdogrod
hardware acceleration off, profiles changed, it's the windows log in that affects how autocad behaves, the other windows log in's (except 1) don't have this problem.. i can log in with the affected user name on another machine, it's fine.. i changed the graphics card this morning, no improvement.. i'm thinking about reinstalling autocad.. sounds like lt dan and i have the same problem... SLW210
Try a REPAIR first before reinstalling, if needed follow the instructions from Autodesk on a CLEAN uninstall/reinstall.
Dana W
Do these Windows profiles have some sort of different (not optimum for monitor) screen resolution or the dreaded Windows Areo theme or transparency, scrolling, fading, shadows, or anything else that might eat up the graphics memory? bigdogrod
good thinking dana, but they are the same resolution, theme set to classic, no drop shadows or any visual effects, no aero as luckily we're still on xp pro
