This is standard Firefox behaviour of the status bar, [i assume] it is to enable you to move the bar to the opposite side of the screen if it is obscuring something on screen. As Lee mentioned, this is just standard Firefox functionality. The text moves to the right of the browser window if you mouseover. Happened a couple of times today (Friday) to me too.
