JD Mather
You entirely missed my point. We already did 12 teeth.
spinecad
You entirely missed my point. Am I? Which one? Please explain. We already did 12 teeth. Yes, and now I would like to know how to drawing its mating gear. Say the gear ratio be 1:2.
JD Mather
Here are parameters for 24 tooth gear. I'll let you give it a shot first. (BTW the Thickness is if you were going to extrude into 3D solid part.)

JD Mather
Hi JD Mather, I am waiting the next step. I assume this is a language barrier. I'll let you give it a shot first. I meant give it a try on your own this time and post the results here or indicate when you have trouble. In any case - you should understand by now that the first step was posted in response #6. I recommend that you sign up for a class.

spinecad
Why no response? JD Mather, may I have your email address?
ReMark
Where exactly are you having a problem? How much progress have you made? Post a screenshot of what you have accomplished so far or better yet attach a drawing to your next post.

ReMark
Stuck? As in you haven't even gotten past step 1 as previously explained by JDM? See his previous instructions starting with... Step 1 - see post #6. Step 2 - see post #10. Step 3 - see post #11.
spinecad
What I meant with stuck is I can't continue. This is quite harder because the size of the mating gear isn't similar. I completely don't understand.
ReMark
While the gear may be larger the technique remains the same doesn't it? Are you doing this for a class you are taking?
spinecad
No I am not taking a class.
ReMark
Well we have yet to see the return of JD Mather to assist you so I say your options are pretty limited. Either someone else steps in to take his place or you find yourself a class. Have you tried looking for video tutorials on creating gears using Mech 2012? JD Mather
Well we have yet to see the return of JD Mather.... I have been trying to avoid response. (trying to be nicer this year) Anyone who can't draw three circles and a vertical line (Step1 Post#6) might be better off choosing a different field of work.
