  1. Working on a utility to rotate polar type array half the angle between items to create a stagger effect of multiple concentric arrays. As far as my research turned up, there is no lisp property for the center point of the array. An array seems to be an anonymous block who's insertion point is always WCS (0 0 0), so if I apply a rotation property it does it from that point and not center point of array. Solution 1: Select the array, highlight grips with (sssetfirst), (getpoint) the center grip the rotate from that point... [not crazy about this option] Solution 2: Select the array, run the list command and extract the center point property from the log file [works marginally as the precision is only 8 decimal places so it ends up displacing it slightly] Any ideas?
  2. I searched the universe and can't find this answer, Sometimes I find an existing dimension where one end has the node that has been collapsed to the tip of the arrow, I can't figure out how to pull it back off the arrow tip. I use 2011, any ideas? Thanks! R.L. Hamm
  3. I am attaching a rotate parameter and action to a dynamic block. I get the "Specify base point" bit okay but I can't figure out what "Specify radius of parameter" does. Do I have to include or exclude other parameters like Flip or Stretch? I get some weird results when I rotate an object with other parameters. Is it possible to place the Grip in a specific place? It always seems to like to sit on top of another parameter name. Thanks
  4. I have been using for about two years now, but have never been to a course/class (unless you count AutoCAD for Dummies), so my language may not be *correct*. Simple problem: When I select a line, normally three grips appear; the ends and the middle. Normally, when I want to stretch (resize) a line I click one end and simply drag it to the desired location. Often it *snaps* to another nearby grip point, the middle selected grip, a line that it crosses, etc. If I zoom in I normally can put the grip any where I want to. It has worked fine up until this morning. Last night when I closed the program it worked perfectly...first thing this morning it doesn't work at all. Restarting the program and the computer had no effect. The grip will only snap to the other origin (making it zero length) and other random points nearby. I cannot make it a random length...it must snap to those other points, and it *will not* snap to the middle point of the line, which I do all of the time. Did I accidentally hit a CTRL+ or ALT+ key-stroke which has changed the abilities to snap? Please, any assistance greatly appreciated.
  5. I have a dynamic block with two linear stretch actions. I can change the linear dim's through the properties but I can't select the stretch grip and drag. Tried placing the block in a new drawing, no change. Any suggestions? Section Label Block.dwg
