  1. Hi, I've inherited some drawings which use a lot of custom linetypes which seem to be embedded into the drawing itself. I want to edit them but am unable to locate them. I've checked the acad.lin and they are not found there. Is there any way I can edit them from within the drawing or will I have to create new linetypes and replace / purge the existing ones out? Thanks in advance.
  2. A couple of questions regarding custom linetypes. 1. Is it better to add my custom linetypes to the .lin file AutoCAD uses or to my own separate file? 2. I found 2 locations where .lin files are stored, which is best? One is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English\UserDataCache\Support Other: C:\Users\*****\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English\R18.2\enu\support 3. If I go to use Express Tools to create a .lin it chosses to save in this location: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2012 - English I'm a little confused about what to do Thanks in advance.
  3. Hello all, I seem to be having a lot of trouble creating a linetype i just received on a set of drawings. its a thick line that thins out and back to thick kind of like long arrowheads back to back. Any idea how i could get that going on cad 2002? i've fooled around with the .lin file with no success. Thanks Matt
