Could anyone help me with it?? I am trying to install Global Attribute Extractor & Editor (http://www.lee-mac.com/macatt.html) on a colleague's computer which has Windows 10 inside. When I run extractor or editor, Autocad let me to state all the blocks and the files. However, when i press ok button it send me a error with automatisation problem. Did you have something similar?

Question: Automating Layer Creation/Properties
Beeftimer posted a topic in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, Object Properties & Interface
Hello All, I work with projects that require several layers. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to automatically create x number of layers with names like "name_1," "name_2," "name_..." "name_n-1," "name_n" without having to manually input each layer's name. Furthermore, I need each layer to have a different color. Again, is there a way to assign different colors automatically without having to go in and do it manually layer by layer? You all have been very helpful so far and I appreciate the time you take to help me become a better CADer. Best Regards, Beef- 6 replies

Hi I have 96 different hatches. I have a template block with only 2 lines of text: Area and Name. I want this block to appear in the middle(ish) of a hatch when i click on it, with "Name" attribute beeing the layer the hatch is on, and the "Area" attribute of the block is the Area of the hatch, divided by 1000000 and m2 behind it. Is this possible?

automated block and attribute creation from csv file
vickilb posted a topic in AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL
Hi all, I have just found out that i am going to be asked to add very basic attributed blocks to all of our drawing stock. All the data for each blcok currently sits in a CSV file, and I was wondering (or actually hoping:wink:) whether it is possible to create this without having to create each block individually. Would any bright sparks have any thoughts on if or how it could be possible ? Currently still using ACAD 2008 (frustrating but true!) Many thanks Vicki
