  1. Guys, I had to re-scale a drawing and convert it to DXF so we can use in our cutting machine. The problem is when I try to open the DXF file on our factory computer there are missing some lines. But when I open the file on my computer, it is perfect. Do you guys now if this is a AutoCAD error when converting the file to DXF or its a problem with our factory's computer ?
  2. Hey guys, so I'm converting some IDWs to AutoCAD format, and when they go to open them dimensions are not showing up and some other things are jumbled about. I even opened them up in my AutoCAD and purged several times, and re saved them into DXFs and AutoCAD DWGs. Am I missing a step or something? What can I give them so they can just dimension it in their title block? STEP file?
  3. Hello all, Just started working for a company that does all it's drawings in Arris. Going to start migrating to autocad 2015. Wanted to know best way of transferring drawings between the two programs. I am very new to autocad. Thanks for the help.
  4. I just want to print a CAD drawing according to some required scale. Please help me I have never done this before. I needs some hint. 1:1 1:2 1:3 1:4 1:5 1:10 1:100 Another thing what if I convert the drawing having specific scale into PDF format and print it. Are the scale remain same? If I scaled the diagram say in A4 paper then print this on A3 paper the scale remain the same?
  5. Long time lurker and user of the site. Apologies my first post is a question rather than an answer but now I’ve made the leap of faith who knows the possibilities! I have a drawing with approx. 50 points in it. These points have been created from exporting a file from our MapInfo software into CAD format. Each of these points represents a feature (although everything contained within the drawing is just 1 feature) and I need to be able to attached a symbol (and then associated key) to define the feature when I xref in other similar drawings. I hope I described that ok. After some searching, I’m led to believe I need to use an LSP command/file/code etc.? I have no knowledge of anything LSP based, how to use it or where to begin. The instructions I’ve seen in other threads asking similar questions unfortunately go straight over my head. Could I ask is the LSP the only way to achieve my solution, and if so, is there a (very) basic step by step guide to using the LSP or could someone guide me through please? I understand that there is a need for full AutoCAD to perform this task – which I have access to if needbe.
