Hi, We're using AutoCAD LT 2013 and we simply want to plot some electrical drawings provided by one of our manufacturers in black and white only. When viewing the drawings on screen it shows all different colours used for different layers (I think), when we try plotting in black and white the yellows and blues come out grey. Same thing happens when we try to Publish as a PDF. Is there a way to change the entire drawing to black without individually selecting each line? Thanks in advance Brad

SSM not publishing from a different computer
duccioa posted a topic in AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output
Hello, I have recently introduced the Sheet Set Manager in my work flow. In my office they are not very keen on new and more efficient tools (they are French ) but I was left alone on a project and I implemented it with relative layout attributes such as titles, dates, revisions, etc. connected to the properties of the list. When I set up the layouts, I choose the plotter from the list on my computer. The problem now is that if I try to publish from the SSM from a different computer than mine, it doesn't work. The plotter name is the same in both computer and I added the customised paper size to which the layouts are set (with the same name) to both machines. When I print directly from the layout (with ctrl+p) it works from both computer without having to change any setting. When I publish from the SSM on the second computer it doesn't work. Hope I made myself clear. I'm using autocad LT2013 on both machines. The plot setting files are local, they are not on the network (I suspect this is the problem). Any solution? Thank you Duccio -
Sheet Set Manager - Publish to PDF - Print slightly off
duccioa posted a topic in AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output
Hello, I'm using Autocad LT2012 and I have a problem with the "print to PDF" from the Sheet Set Manager. The layouts are all set to "publish to a plotter" with the Layout option (not Window, Extent, etc.). When I send the print to the plotter from the SSM, they print fine. If I send them to PDF, they are printed slightly off and one side is cut out. I have tried on one of the layouts to change the plotting device from our plotter to "DWG to PDF" and indeed the drawing results to be slightly off, because the plotting area shifts. So, I guess this is the problem. I have checked many forums and different solutions. One solution is to use Window or Extent as plotting area with Centred option on, so to avoid any cut due to shifts of the layout. I have two questions: 1. Is there any way to work around this problem keeping the Layout plotting area option? 2. If there is not, how can I now change more than fifty layouts, that are now set on Layout, to Extent or Window, without having to go through them all one by one? (I tried the override option, but it really doesn't work as layouts are printed with different ctb and it keeps printing off, anyway) Thank you, Duccio- 4 replies

Plots are fine, Publishing gets cropped
therealjd posted a topic in AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output
I created a pagesetup to output to EPS files. Then i have our acrobat server convert them to PDFs. We typically get smaller files than using the DWG to PDF print driver that way. I can run a plot with the pagesetup and it works fine. However, if i use the same pagesetup on the same drawings using the publishing feature, the PDFs generated are cropped on one edge. It's like the whole plot is offset. I have no idea why it's doing this... Any suggestions? I'm using AutoCAD 2009.
