  1. Hi, Please help. I need a routine that modifies attached x-refs (including nested) from current drawing by re-loading linetypes in each drawing and saves them? Thank you for any ideas and help.
  2. Hi, When I add an xref, let's say floor plans, to my drawing the xref brings in the xrefs in that drawing to my new drawing. I do not want this; nobody wants this. I want to just bring in the floor plans, not the drawings that I attached to the plans. So how do I just bring in just the actual drawing? I hope that makes sense. Hard to explain because there are drawings within drawings. It is driving me insane.
  3. I was emailed a number of dwgs that have Xrefs, but from what I understand, I need access to the original/referenced dwgs? When I open my "External References" pallette, it shows "unreferenced", and "not found" references. The paths are to the customer's server? I think I'm missing the original file, but I'm new to this Xref, so I'm not confident that I'm doing everything right.
  4. How do I open the Design Centre and see "blocks" that are bound xref with $0$ in the name, unless the bindtype is set to insert.
  5. Hi All, I am having problems Xref ing a drawing of my new title block to paperspace. The plan is to try and have it as the default title block whenever I select to layout a drawing, can anybody help me with this? Regards Greg
  6. I understand how the current extrusion command works - You have a 2D polyline profile and you apply the extrusion command to that, getting your 3D shape. However, I have a drawing full of different sized extrusions based on the same 2D polyline, and now I want to change that initial 2D polyline without having to manipulate each polyline separately. I thought it would be much better if the initial 2D polyline were referenced, allowing you to swap that inital 2D polyline with another 2D polyline. Is there a way - or a plugin - that is available to do this in AutoCAD? FYI - the profiles are used in kitchen doors, and I want to be able to simply change the door profiles without resorting to re-extruding the whole lot.
  7. I love this lisp of Lee's. Can't recommend it highly enough. I have set it to create a new layer when using the INSERT command, the name of which, I would like to be, the name of the XREF being inserted. All layer properties to match layer 0, as shown in the image. No problem getting it to create the new layer named Xref, but how to extract the name from the object being inserted and add it to the layer name? Is that possible?
  8. I'm a newbie to AutoCad, I'm currently using Autocad 2012, does anyone know how I can scale a text in viewport whose drawing was referenced in the model view. Please any help will be appreciated. fyi the referenced drawing is a survey drawing. Thanks to all in advance
  9. Good Day looking for code in vb.net where i can retrieve what exrefs are in a drawing file without opening it. Will also like to be able to edit the exrefs paths and files within the drawing database. The method would also be useful to extract attributes etc. from drawing files without opening them. Any help most welcome. Regards CaveMan
