  1. Hello, I am interested in a LISP able to make overlapping sheets as layouts following a road alignment and overlap a fraction. Each sheet will have its own UCS or view orientation. You can see it from these videos: anyone knows one? Best regards, Daniel

    Coordinates LISP

Hello, I am looking for the next lisp. I need to create a plline (for example a rectangle) wherever I want inside the model. Then, the routine will ask me about the distance between coordinate tic marks (x) , the plot scale (1/500 for example) and the height text. Then I will click the rectangle and finally it will create all the coordinate tick marks inside the rectangle as an editable objects (block for example) with its coordinates N (vertical) and E (horizontal). I am attaching a dwg Thanks, Best regards, Daniel. 1.dwg
  3. Hello everyone, I just began using Civil 3D to create surfaces and contour maps. Now I need to create cross sections. I watched some videos on youtube and came up with the procedure I need to follow to create cross sections, but the way they are created does not suit my needs. I specifically need the cross sections vertices to be created only where the sample lines intersect the contours instead of following exactly the 3D surface. Much like when we do this by hand. I searched on Google, but didn't come up with an answer or something close. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
  4. This is not so much an issue as an addition to the knowledge base here. If someone has had this issue before, I couldn't find it. An associate here was trying to add a couple of PIs to an alignment. When he pulled up the geometry editor toolbar, most of the buttons were greyed out and none of them worked. Part of the troubleshooting SOP is restarting AutoCAD, during which he got a message about enabling macros. The first time he had answered No. This time he said Yes, and the geometry editor worked. So be warned. There are some commands in Civil 3D that depend on macros.
  5. For some reason, When I run my corridor threw the intersection with three total alignments it does not pull profiles for two of the quadrants (this being the third one down on the very first list when creating an intersection) As for the other two quadrants, they run their profile down to zero. This is driving me bonkers. I even pulled in the engineer and he is lost. Now coming up on 6 hours for this. As you all know must stay with in a budget. I would greatly appreciate to know why its not creating profiles for the two and zero profiles for the other quadrants. Thank you, Miller
  6. So I have two 3D scans of a retaining wall (one from 2013 and another from 2014) and I need to compare the two and see if it has moved. I am wondering if anyone in the world knows how to do so. Since the surfaces are vertical, and not horizontal, this has become a real 'head-scratcher' for me. I've tried to use the 'X' values as elevations, but since the retaining wall is not due east-west in the 'real-world' it isn't along the 'X' and 'Y' in AutoCAD, therefore when I tried to compare the surfaces, I get a gradual increased elevation difference from South-North due to the rotation from North (in the real-world) and the coordinates produced... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP, I CAN PAY!
  7. When working in model space for an extended amount of time then selecting the layout tab the program crashes. I have had it happen so many times I have gotten in the habit of hitting save before switching. Any ideas? I know that there is an upgrade for Civil 3D 2014 that I have not had the time for my boss to load up. Would that fix it?
  8. How do I move point from one file to another in Civil 3d? Copy/Paste won't work. I need to import them to the second drawing somehow. Thanks.
